Hi there,
Just to share with all the 10 tips before you start your travel:
- If you are not sure where to go for your vacation, use the Internet. Many airlines websites offer travel tips about beach bolt-holes, diving spots, cultural hot spots, world heritage sites and etc.
- Fork out some petty cash for decent travel insurance.
- Keep an eye on joint airline-hotel promotions in the newspaper and websites.
- If you can help it, avoid holidays during the high seasons that is, unless you like crowds, long queues and paying extra for hotel rooms and restaurants.
- Book the hotel well in advance and confirm your reservations a few days before arrival.
- Lock in yur favourite seat by checking online.
- Pack light. That means one good coat (if the destination is cold), miniature toiletries (it is all about decanting into small bottles), one pair of dressy shoes and one for the plane, and tell yourself that if you need anything else, you can always buy it.
- Invest in a vacuum seal bag ( or two) and save considerable amount of luggage space. Slip in a spare foldable bag for the inevitable extra retail haul.
- Include in your cabin bag a pair of bedroom slippers, especially if it is a long flight. Feet swell at high altitudes, and do you really want to stretch those precious Manolos unnecessarily?
- That old chestnut about drinking lots of water while on board is true. And moisturise like your life depends on it. You need to look fabulous, not shrivelled, in the party pages of the glossy society magazine highlighting the destination you are jetting to.
